If you have hands-on experience conducting hydrostatic pressure tests and enjoy working independently across customer sites, this role will allow you to showcase your technical expertise while representing a trusted industry brand. You’ll be supporting customers across the Midlands region, delivering high-quality pressure testing services using our well-maintained specialist equipment.
As a Field Pressure Testing Technician, you will be responsible for safely and professionally performing hydrostatic pressure tests on customer or third-party assets. You will also complete all relevant RAMS documentation, support site teams with technical feedback, and ensure all Stopper Specialists equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Job Overview
- Set up and operate a range of pressure testing equipment, including flanges, joint sets/gaskets, manifolds, pumps, and data loggers.
- Carry out hydrostatic pressure testing in accordance with IGN 4-01-03 and/or customer-specific requirements.
- Troubleshoot on-site conditions to resolve issues that may impact test success.
- Maintain testing equipment using established service procedures.
- Use dedicated software/portals to input hazard and risk mitigation measures, generating accurate RAMS documents for each assignment.
- Liaise with site agents, managers, and stakeholders to manage timelines, provide updates, and communicate test results clearly.
Job Requirements
- Full, valid driving licence
- Proven experience performing hydrostatic pressure tests on live industrial or construction sites
- Competent in using precision measuring equipment such as data loggers and flow meters
- Strong working knowledge of on-site safety procedures, safe systems of work, hazard identification, and incident prevention
- Experience creating RAMS documentation related to pressure testing
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when delivering technical feedback
